Is Breezy about to fight Drake again over Rihanna?

 

It's been a pretty busy period for Mr. Aubrey Drake Graham and his recent collaboration 'Work' with Rihanna is being called the best track off of her new album (ANTI). Unfortunately, the song seems to have sent Chris Brown into a seething rage.

Okay, so he's not flipping as hard as he normally would (We guess even Chris Brown is capable of maturing.), but Breezy isn't backing down from what many fans interpreted as social media shade aimed at his former rival and his ex-girlfriend.

Shortly after RiRi posted a photo of her and Drake filming the "Work" music video, Breezy tweeted, "Some days are better than others…love is love. Nothing bad will ever last.”

You may remember that Drake and Breezy feuded back in 2014, but seemed to squash the beef following a bar brawl involving member of their entourages.

Now, rumors that Drake and Rihanna are dating have begun to circulate again, and Brown seems to be just as pissed off as he was the first time around.

Sure the tweet was cryptically phrased and could've been about a lot of things, but several fans pointed out that Brown appeared to be referring to the Drake-Rihanna situation, and he has yet to correct them.

So get your popcorn ready: It looks like Drizzy v Breezy Season 2 is on its way.

Lady Gaga's outfit to the Super Bowl 50 was nothing short of class. She actually did wear a sparkling Gucci trouser Suit and looked 'Amaze-balls' in it. Not only was she appropriately dressed for the performance, she also looked great too -- Botox maybe? who cares. From her hair and makeup to her outfit, her nail polish and her American flag inspired shoes, she slayed all through. I'm loving her new come back cause I'm tired of seeing her in weird outfits like the meat dress and nude pantie.

 

2016 Lagos Polo Tournament takes off tomorrow

As the 2016 NPA Lagos International Polo Tournament takes off tomorrow in Lagos, Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) has announced it partnership with the Nigerian Polo Association (NPA) to make the premier polo competition in Nigeria a memorable event.

The president, Lagos Polo Club, Ade Laoye announced that a couple of changes were made this year in order for the fans, sponsors and players to enjoy the maximum fun on offers.
The yearly event which has come to be associated with much pomp and fanfare will be holding from Wednesday, 8th to Sunday, 21 February, 2016, at the Lagos Polo Club, Ikoyi, Lagos.

It will feature most of the top polo players in the country and abroad with about 24 teams competing for laurels during the two week tourney.

Top players like the Argentine trio of Frankie Menendez, Diego White and Santiago Cruz Marambio are expected to compete for the coveted Majekodumi Cup, which is one of the oldest polo cups in the country.

The call for Saraki's resignation is premature and mischievious -Senate

The Senate on Monday asked Nigerians to ignore those calling for the immediate resignation of Senate President, Bukola Saraki, over his ongoing trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).

Saraki is standing trial for allegedly falsifying his asset declaration while he was governor of Kwara State.

His bid to quash the trial was dismissed by the Supreme Court on Friday.

The upper chamber described as premature, mischievous and unwarranted the campaign for Saraki’s resignation especially when he had not been convicted by the CCT.

Synagogue Engineers and Trustees to be arrainged February 18th 2016

Trustees of the Synagogue Church of All Nation and the two engineers that handled the construction of the church’s six- storey building that collapsed September 12, 2014 will be arraigned before a Lagos High Court, Ikeja , on February 18.

This followed the dismissal of the application filed by the engineers, Oladele Ogundeji and Akinbela Fatiregun and their companies, Hardrock Construction and Engineering Company and Jandy Trust Limited seeking to set aside the verdict of the Lagos Coroner court which inducted them for the collapsed building.

A total of 116 persons mostly South Africans died in the incident.

The court presided by Justice Lateef Lawal-Akapo fixed the date on Monday, after dismissing the separate applications filed by the two engineers, seeking to stop their prosecution for lacking in merit.

The Lagos State Government had late last year slammed a 111- count criminal charge against trustees of the church, the two engineers and their companies.

Dangote begins construction of new 9 million tons capacity cement plants in Okpella, Itori

 

In a deft move to consolidate its leadership position in the Nigerian cement sector, Dangote Cement Plc has announced the commencement of construction of new cement plants in two communities in the country.

The new plants are expected to add 9million metric tonnes per annum to the company’s current local cement output of 29.25 million metric tonnes, bringing it to a total of 38.25 million metric tonnes per annum.

Court orders Security Agents to arrest Tompolo

Justice Ibrahim Buba of the Federal High Court in Lagos on Monday directed security agencies to arrest a former Niger Delta militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo (aka Tompolo).

He held that the warrant of arrest issued for Tompolo’s arrest still subsists.

The judge said “all authorities” are under obligation to ensure Tompolo is arrested and produced in court to face trial.

Justice Buba dismissed Tompolo’s application seeking to quash the warrant of arrest issued to compel his appearance.

Court dismisses Dasuki's Application to Halt Trial

A Federal Capital Territory High Court in Maitama, Abuja, has dismissed an application by the immediate past National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd), seeking to stop his trial on the charges of diversion of N32bn arms fund.

Justice Husseini Baba ruled on Monday that contrary to Dasuki’s allegation, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ‎was not in contempt of its order granting him (Dasuki) bail on December 18, 2015.

Dasuki was re-arrested by the operatives of the Department of State Service on December 29, 2015, shortly after he met the bail conditions and was released by Kuje prison.

Dasuki had, through his motion urged the court to prohibit the EFCC from prosecuting him over an alleged “brazen” disobedience of the orders of court granting him bail.

Father rapes Daughter after she tracked and met him for the first time

Court case: The father pleaded guilty to one count of incest after the attack

A daughter who met her dad for the first time after tracking him down was then raped by him, a court heard.

The woman, from was determined to meet her real father after spending 20 years apart from him.

Back in 2014 she found him in Queensland.

She learned that he had a history of violence, but decided to invite him to meet her and her family.

He took his son and partner to visit her home, staying in the spare bedroom.

The woman, who cannot be named, told the court that she was "really excited to see him [her dad] here and finally meet him".

She added: "This was the first time meeting my father.

"He was happy to see me too. I was just so excited and happy to finally meet my real dad."

They were home alone together when he attacked her.

He said: "Give dad a hug" before kissing her on the neck and groping her.

NBA laments over continued detention of Rickey Tarfa by EFCC

Some senior lawyers in the country have rejected last Friday’s arrest and continued detention of one of their colleagues, Mr. Rickey Tarfa, SAN, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, without releasing him on bail, Vanguard reports.

While commenting on the development, former President of the NBA, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, said; “I think that this is an unfortunate development, a situation where lawyers are arrested in court while performing their lawful duties, this must be condemned in unequivocal terms. However, this is the work of an agency, no government can allow this, especially when you have a senior lawyer, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria as the Vice-President, the government will do its best to avoid such things. It is the work of overzealous agents, we will call on the Vice-President to intervene and ensure his release.

Okorocha pleads with Labor not to shut down Imo State over 3,000 sacked workers

The Imo State Government has begged the state and national leadership of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, to reverse their plan to shutdown the state over the ‘illegal’ sack of over 3,000 civil servants in the state.

NLC had in a statement threatened to shutdown the state if Governor Rochas Okorocha failed to recall the over 3,000 workers in the 19 parastatals, agencies and departments.

Warning to Drivers by Lagos NURTW

Lagos State Council of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) has urged commercial drivers to always comply with traffic laws to avoid being charged before the Mobile Courts.

The government last week inaugurated the Special Offences (mobile court) to deal with cases of traffic and environmental abuses. The court to be manned by qualified magistrates will summarily try such cases.

Offences like commercial motorcyclists driving against traffic, refusal to obey traffic signs, commercial bus drivers (Danfo) who operate on motion with their open etc will be tried by mobile court.

The union chairman, Tajudeen Agbede urged commercial drivers, Okada riders and Keke Marwa operators to be wary of prosecution, adding: “We have been telling our members to always obey the laws. Conductors should always make sure that the door of the bus is closed whenever the vehicle is on motion.

Federal Govt Welcomes Constructive Criticism on 2016 Budget

President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration will continue to welcome well-meaning criticism of its policies, its budget and expenditure, the Presidency said yesterday.

A statement by the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, said the government decided to take the stance because it was the only way the change promised the country would have a meaning.

To this end and in line with established tradition, he said the President has directed that the draft 2016 appropriation budget, which is before the National Assembly, should be put on the website of the budget office so that Nigerians can read it with a view to making their observations.

With the directive, he said suggestions that the Presidency was misleading the public on any aspects of the budget could no longer stand the test of time.

Workers Protest Against 45% Electricity Tariff Hike

Workers under the AEGIS of the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress have started a nationwide protest against the recent increase in electricity tariffs in the country.

The NLC had called for the protest after repeatedly calling on the Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission to suspend the recent increase in tariffs.

The NLC President, Ayuba Wabba, who described the tariff hike as outrageous, said it was the fifth in a row since 2012 and unacceptable.

Accident on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway: 17 feared dead

•THE END: The scene of the accident on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway...yesterday. 

Seventeen people died and 74others injured in an accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway yesterday morning.

The accident, which occurred shortly after Ibadan, involved two vehicles.

There were 96 people inside the vehicles.

The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) gave the cause of the accident as over speeding, which led to loss of control by one of the drivers.

FRSC’s Head of Media Relations and Strategy Bisi Kazeem, in a statement, warned people “against sittingon top of trucks and lorries”.

Etisalat Sues MTN Over Visafone Acquisition

Etisalat Nigeria has sued MTN Nigeria and Visafone Ltd, challenging MTN’s use of the 800megahertz (MHZ) spectrum following the acquisition of Visafone.

MTN sued the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) over the imposition of N780billion fine on it by the regulator for harbouring some 5.2million pre-registered subscriber identity module (SIM) cards on its network in
violation of extant rules.

When Football meets Fashion

The American football has been given a glitzy -- if slightly impractical -- makeover.

To mark the 50th anniversary of the Super Bowl on February 8, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has teamed up with the National Football League (NFL) to create a series of bespoke, and often bejeweled, footballs.

Fifty designers -- including big names such as Tiffany & Co and Betsey Johnson -- have produced their own take on the normally brown leather ball. Gold leaf, tassels, metal spikes and other extravagant embellishments can be seen throughout the series.

Each piece is being auctioned online from now until February 14, and proceeds will go to the league's charity, the NFL Foundation. The minimum starting bid is $500.

Active Zika virus has been detected in saliva and urine, Brazilian scientists say.

The finding does not mean the virus can be readily transmitted through these bodily fluids.

Meanwhile, the US has advised men to abstain from sex or use condoms after visiting affected countries, if their partner is pregnant.

While Zika is normally mild, the infection has been linked to thousands of suspected birth defects.

The updated advice says avoiding mosquitoes remains the best way to prevent infection, but advises men returning from affected countries to "correctly use condoms during sex or abstain from sexual activity for the duration of the pregnancy".

In another development the governor of Puerto Rico has declared a public health emergency over Zika. The US territory has 22 confirmed cases.

The Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria on February 3, 2016, introduced its youngest doctorate graduate, Dr. Romola Adeola. According to the Institute, Romola Adeola who is just 26 years of age, set a record in being the youngest person to obtain a Doctor of Laws degree (LLD) in the 30-year history of the Centre for Human Rights.

Anyways, i have been going on and on about my desire to start blogging and all that but this time, i decided to 'work the work' rather than 'talk the talk' so....here it is. 

I'm going to be feeding you with loads and loads of Entertainment, Gossip, News, Events, Lifestyle and Fashion. (WOW!!! that's a lot of you ask me but I'll try).
